Evernote Email

Check out this email I got from Evernote! It has an email animation that we just did for a project. I don't remember getting a lot of these in other product emails, but I like how this one is a smooth animation rather than one that's just flashing back and forth between 2 images. I like the colors scheme and the simple lines that makes up the illustration. I really like the shape of the steam that's coming out of the cup, it's a unique form for steam that I've never seen before.

NBC Peacock

Haha, this is a really cute video. Kind of gross at the end, but a creative concept none the less of how the peacock gets his tail. I like how the quick motions with legs and head movement really conveys the movement of birds in general as well as the slight bulging of the eyes when it gets surprised by the falling colors. And check out that motion blur! it looks like it was done with a paint brush which I thought was interesting texture to choose. There are also subtle motion lines such as when his stomach grumbles, but also during the x-ray when the colors are hitting the sides of his stomach. You can see a little bit of their colors appear and disappear during the impact, which I guess doesn't really show movement, but rather force.

Mova

Here is an animation by Vancouver Film School. I think the abstract and geometric shapes is what makes this video so interesting, especially when they are put together to form something that is not discernible but we can still associate with it. I really like that string in the very beginning of the video and how it expands and contracts and the camera focuses on different parts. The color palate is also appealing with bright pink and aqua mixed in with dark purple and white.
